Welcome to Epics 'N' Stuffs - Magic the Gathering: The Hobbit Pre-Release.
Prerelease events are sealed deck. Upon arrival you will be given a kit which contains: 6 Magic the Gathering: The Hobbit booster packs, 1 foil promo Rare or Mythic Rare, 1 deck box, 1 Spindown die.
You will build a sealed deck from the cards you open (Basic lands will be provided) and play in a Swiss rounds event against other players.
There will be a total of 3 rounds.
Each round will be 50 minutes
What to Bring:
• Playmats are advised, Basic Lands are provided

• Deck Construction - 18:30 – 19:30
• Round 1 - 19:30 – 20:20
• Round 2 - 20:30 – 21:20
• Round 3 - 21:30 – 22:20
• End Time: 22:30

We are located near Halliwell Jones Stadium, a short walk from Warrington Central train station. Our location is here. There is parking nearby at Winwick Road car park which is £2.50 for the full day. There is also parking in the general area.
Wizards EventLink be utilised by the organisers; Name and email address will be required as well as using the companion app.
RULES
Swiss Rounds
• 3 Rounds
• 50 minutes per round
• Each round is a best of 3
• When time is called, players get 5 extra turns total (not 5 each)
• If no winner after those turns → the match is a draw
• Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points
• As with all events there is a possibility of someone getting the 'bye' per round
• A 'bye' counts as a 2-0 victory and awards 3 points (a maximum of 1 'bye' per player)
Player Conduct
• Be respectful to all players
• Resolve rules disputes quickly and fairly
• Call a judge if needed
• Play with clear intent and good sportsmanship
